After the success of his Sydney men’s styling seminar, Johnny Li, the man behind men’s style blog Dappertude, is now putting the finishing touches to a bigger, better and more inspiring men’s fashion workshop to be held in Melbourne this month. The Dappertude Melbourne will be held on Saturday, April 29 at the Collins Quarter.
“It was a logical move to take the successful seminar that we held in Sydney last year, to Australia’s fashion capital, Melbourne,” said Johnny. “The three aims of the workshop are to educate, inspire and network.” For the average guy who needs a bit of guidance with getting that polished look, this could be what you’re looking for, as the seminar is open to anyone who’s just a little bit interested in how to pull that off.
Along with topics covering men’s tailoring, grooming, there’ll also be Melbourne’s first Pitti Uomo street style inspired photoshoot session . This is where where everyone steps outside into Collins St to be photographed by street style photographers.
Guest speakers from George and King will explain why it’s important to customise your suit, while Shira from gentSac will guide attendees through the importance of grooming and best practices. Alan, the strategic director of Dappertude will walk everyone through the origins of and why it’s important to accesorise.
A panel of male Influencers will discuss what inspires them to take that extra effort with their appearnace and will also be available to answer questions. They include Adelaide based Influencer, @Stevetillystyle, @theyounggent and @tri.edition from Melbourne and Johnny is also hoping that @shaunbirley from Brisbane will also be able to make it. There’ll be plenty of chances for networking and chatting with the panelists.
