Katya Komarova Goes Global

Australian Made Bags Set for Growth

Renowned for offering quality craftsmanship and unique designs where one bag can have many different looks, Australian made bags brand, Katya Komarova, is set to expand globally. The brand’s new strategy means that it will close its local Adelaide Hills store, situated in Stirling. While it’s a loss to locals, who embraced the home-grown brand, it’s an exciting step up for Katya Komarova, whose bags are often seen on the arms of international models and stylists.

“The decision to close our Stirling store was not taken lightly,” says Komarova, Founder and Creative Director of the brand. “We have loved being part of the Stirling community and we are grateful for the support and loyalty our customers have shown us over the last year. However, as our brand grows, it is important for us to adapt and evolve. We are excited to focus on new formats of retail that will allow us to better serve our customers both locally and internationally.”

While the store is closing at the end of August, production will remain on home soil. The quality craftsmanship and innovative design for which the brand is renowned, remains unwavering.

Katya Komarova will pursue global growth initiatives and explore alternative new retail formats, including pop-up events, online experiences, and collaborations that will bring the brand to customers worldwide. Intended to offer a more personalised and dynamic shopping experience, the move reflects and maintains the brand’s dedication to innovation and customer satisfaction.

“We are excited to bring Katya Komarova to a wider audience and to explore new ways of connecting with our customers,” Katya continues. “While we bid farewell to our Stirling store, we look forward to the future with enthusiasm and anticipation. Our Adelaide-based studio will remain the heart of our creative process, ensuring that every piece we create continues to reflect the artistry and craftsmanship our brand is known for.”

Going out with a bang, the Katya Komarova store is hosting a SALA exhibition until the end of August. Find it at 2B/41 Mt Barker, Rd, Stirling.
