What you need to know about Gang-Gang…
Some creatives just can’t help themselves and serial collaborator Erik Yvon, a strong supporter of Melbourne’s local business community is at it again! Collaborating this time with TwoFold Jewellery, the two designers have come up with a new collection entitled Gang-Gang.
You saw a sneak-peek of Erik-Yvon’s SS17 range when generous Erik styled a shoot with your top-voted style-fashion favourite for March 2016. That was when Demi Tsioumanis modeled his yet to be released Gang-Gang range. Check it out! Here’s just a couple of shots from their exciting collaboration with photographer Mark Stanjo.
Both independent labels endeavor to support local businesses by engaging with the community. “We firmly believe in making change by strengthening our local industry by keeping our onshore production transparent and ethical. “
By opening this window into their collab, you’ll be able to not only observe the design process but also meet the designers themselves. That means this exhibition will be a collaboration between designers, the producers and the wearers!
In a world or rampant consumerism, the designers are keen to encourage everyone to be curious and to connect and engage with them to gain a better insight into their world of design. In their world, creativity, quality and community are equally valued.
Gang-Gang is an eclectic, ready-to-wear collection teamed with one-off jewellery pieces that will soon be available from the National Gallery of Victoria.
On display from Friday August 26 until Friday September 12, the Gang-Gang is open from 10am-6pm daily at RMIT Building 80, Pop-Up Shop #2, Level 2.
From September 13-20, you’ll be able to catch it at the same times, at 277 High St Northcote.
Such a great opportunity to meet these talented creatives, Gang-Gang is a free event.
