WA Fashion Edit 2019
Nine designer labels will feature in a fashion runway this Sunday, May 5 at the Oxford Hotel, Leederville. Presented by The Mount Hawthorn Streets and Lanes Festival, the WA Fashion Edit as it is called, follows a successful launch in 2018.
A platform for independent fashion creatives, the event will showcase contemporary fashion and feature models such as Ayor Makur and Gemma Bidstrup from Scene Modelling Management. Alongside professional models, additional models will be drawn from everyday clients of each of the retailers.
WA Fashion Edit 2019 is a collaboration of locally based fashion houses. Local label ILKA is based in Mount Hawthorn where its flagship store stocks over 32 other Western Australian brands.
The WA Fashion Edit will provide the opportunity to meet with the creatives behind all the labels on show. There will also be the chance to purchase items and garments being showcased. Like last year’s fun event, the whole thing will take place in an upbeat and unpretentious atmosphere.
This year’s lineup of exciting talent includes Western Australian labels:
The Anjelms Project
The Artless Collective
Hickey Hardware
ILKA
Kirrikin
Kristin Magrit
Monster Alphabets
Wilbur The Label
Wild Horses
Guests are being promised an an unforgettable fashion experience.
