Welcoming Winter Trends
Still reeling from all the incredible outfits spotted at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Sydney? With so much style to swoon over, we’ve continued to highlight some of the standout winter trends sported on international and local guests.
Stylish showgoers in faux fur is a common sight during international fashion weeks, but seeing so many fur-clad fashionistas down under was something of a surprise. Whether opting for statement colours or something more neutral, it looks as though we’re all set for winter.
Just a few years ago, obvious brand logos were avoided at all costs – but since this trend re-emerged, it’s showing some serious staying power. Whether it’s mixing big brands or opting for a head-to-toe logo look, street stylers aren’t shying away from looking like walking advertisements.
The style set are putting aside the monochrome and stepping out in shades of yellow. From saffron yellow power suits to lemon yellow sundresses, this trend is the sunshine we need.
Winter needn’t mean a dreary wardrobe colour palette. Locals are keeping pretty in prink, mixing subdued shades with denim and basics.
For a long while there, all we were spotting were clear-framed sunnies and eyeglasses on local streets. Now it seems as though tortoiseshell frames are entering the spotlight again, adding a pop of character to any outfit.
